The “proof of the pudding” from the first CEO/CFO Round Table events this year

Reference 1 on event; CEO,

“Who else but Marc Chabot could pull 15 men out of bed to face traffic, road constructions, orange cones…. and be downtown Montreal for a conference on health!!!!! Seriously….??? You nailed it right! I enjoyed every moment of this first meeting/discussion. Being who I am, I look forward to the next step and to be part of a cohort that lives and shares knowledge/tips on how to maintain a healthier life. I look forward to reading your book. You can count of my assistance to make of this new idea a very successful one! Congrats as always. It was truly a pleasure meeting all of you as I look forward to getting to know you further!”.

Reference 2 on book; COO,

“Hi Marc, since retiring and partly influenced by your inspiring example, I’m modifying lifestyle habits in the gradual, incremental manner described in your book and feel better for it already. I’ve lost 10 lbs. since the end of March and have more to go. I am making it a personal goal to try to stave off cholesterol and blood pressure medications by way of lifestyle changes illustrated in your book. My doctor at Medisys is skeptical so I hope to soon have the pleasure of proving him wrong. I commend you Marc for setting and achieving your personal weight loss and fitness targets. Beyond that, I admire the focus, energy and dedication required to compile the handy, “one stop shop” that is your excellent book. It’s selfless of you to have toiled so hard on something that will largely benefit others. I would describe your book as a compendium of information that many of us may have been somewhat familiar with, but that was scattered across various sources. This is where your book is such a handy, well-structured reference guide with everything we dumb men need to know in a single, user friendly, informative and humorous source. I like the breezy, casual tone of the book and find that your use of personal anecdotes makes it more meaningful. I also like the numerous citations at section-ends”.

Reference 3 on event and book; CFO,

“The event was very beneficial since it was an open forum that generated discussion among the participants and also discussed personal experiences. This placed an impact on what has to be done to maintain a good level of health and to improve our present health and life longevity. We are all aware of certain factors but continuously need reminders in ordinary everyday language. The reminders include the good foods, exercise, diet and lifestyle. To this effect, education is vital, but the best manner to achieve this is through coaching. The book itself is very easy reading and short; it is broken down in the vital chapters that are required to attain better health. I appreciated the reference to web sites and that the graphs were at the back of the book…this makes the reading of the book more fluid. Also, being written in the first person and discussing your experiences, brings a personal touch to the book and subject matter. Both the event and the book was a success and should be shared with all possible”.
